What your coins say, deciphered
by AI.

Photograph a coin. Numismatista identifies it from its measurements, transcribes its legend, expands the abbreviations and translates it. Then it joins your cabinet, with its photos, its value and its provenance.

What Numismatista does

Three things a numismatist does, done properly.

Identify

Weight and diameter first narrow down a reference set of established types. The analysis then chooses among those that actually fit — never an attribution out of thin air.

Read

Abbreviated Latin, ancient Greek, Kufic Arabic: transcription, expanded abbreviations, translation and context. An illegible letter stays marked as such — it is never guessed.

Catalogue

An online cabinet: records, cropped photos, grade, value tracking and a provenance log. Your collection stays yours, exportable at any time.

From photo to cabinet, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Photograph

Obverse and reverse, with your phone. An adjustable frame centres the coin, and photo quality is checked.

  2. 02

    Measure

Weight to the centigram, diameter with calipers. These two figures rule out most fakes before the analysis even starts.

  3. 03

    Analyse

Identification, legend reading, grading. Every suggestion is yours to confirm.

  4. 04

    File

The coin joins your cabinet with its photos, its record and its history. Ready to export or share.

Our stance

A tool that knows when to stay silent.

An AI that always answers is often wrong, and confidently so. In numismatics, an invented mint mark can multiply a coin's value tenfold. Numismatista would rather not conclude than guess.

The photo is not good enough
Sharpness and exposure are measured before any analysis. Below the threshold, the tool asks for a better shot instead of filling in what it cannot see.
The weight disagrees
If a suggested attribution is inconsistent with your measurements, it is discarded. A physical constraint is not up for negotiation.
The analyses diverge
Several independent readings are compared. If they do not agree, the coin is declared undetermined — and you are told so.

Everything you need to keep a coin cabinet.

Value tracking

Every estimate is archived: your cabinet's curve, coin by coin, against what you have invested.

Provenance log

Purchases, sales, appraisals, certifications: a chained history in which any tampering shows.

PDF records and inventory

One record per coin and the full inventory, ready for an insurance policy or an estate.

Collection sharing

A private, read-only link for a friend, an expert or a dealer. You choose what is visible, and revoke it in one click.

On your phone

The app installs on your home screen: photograph, measure and file without leaving your desk.

Sheldon and European scales

Sheldon 1–70 in English, European grades from B to FDC in French. The entire interface exists in both languages.

What Numismatista is not.

Not a certification. No grade produced here carries the weight of PCGS or NGC. The tool helps you decide whether a coin is worth the certification fee; it does not replace it.

Not an appraisal. Results are indicative. For a valuable coin, an expert's opinion remains irreplaceable.

Not a dealer. We neither buy nor sell coins: we have no interest in overvaluing yours.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need special equipment?

A phone for the photos, a scale accurate to the centigram and calipers for the measurements. Without measurements the analysis still works, but it is far less reliable.

Who can see my photos and my collection?

Only you. Nothing is public until you create a share link yourself, and every link can be revoked at any time.

What if the analysis is wrong?

Nothing is recorded without your approval: every suggestion can be confirmed or corrected. A failed analysis is refunded in credits.

Can I get my data back?

Yes: records and inventory as PDF at any time. Deleting your account permanently erases your collection, photos and analyses.

How do I cancel?

From your profile, in two clicks. Access stays open until the end of the paid period, and purchased credits remain yours.
