Terms and conditions of sale and use
The rules of the Numismatista service: accounts, credits, subscriptions, payment, cancellation and liability.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Numismatista app (app.numismatista.com) and the purchase of its offers. They are entered into between the publisher, identified in the legal notice, and any person who creates an account (“the user”). Creating an account or buying an offer means accepting these terms, in the version in force on the date of the transaction.
2. The service
Numismatista is an online tool that helps identify coins, read and translate their legends, give an indicative assessment of their grade, and catalogue a collection (records, photos, value tracking, provenance, exports, sharing).
Results are indicative. They are produced by artificial intelligence models from the photos and measurements supplied by the user, and checked against a reference set of coin types. They are neither an expert appraisal, nor a certification, nor a guarantee of authenticity or value. Every suggestion must be confirmed by the user, who alone decides what goes into their collection. For a valuable coin, an expert's opinion remains essential.
3. Account
The account is personal. The user provides a valid email address, keeps their password confidential and is responsible for actions taken from their account. The service is reserved for adults or for minors authorised by their legal representative.
4. Offers and credits
Analyses use credits: an identification or a legend reading costs 1 credit, a grading 2 credits. A failed analysis is refunded automatically in credits.
| Offer | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery | Free | 5 credits on sign-up, cabinet, records and photos, one active share link |
| Collector | $12 per month | 20 credits per month, unlimited collection, value tracking, provenance log, unlimited sharing |
| Professional | $35 per month | 80 credits per month, multiple collections, sale listings and exports, and everything in Collector |
| Top-ups | $12, $35, $59 | 15, 60 or 120 credits, without a subscription |
Accounts opened in English are billed in US dollars, at the prices shown in the app, excluding any applicable sales tax or VAT added at checkout. Accounts opened in French are billed in euros, at the prices shown on the French version of these terms.
Included credits in a subscription: renewed every month on the subscription's billing date; unused credits do not roll over. Purchased credits (top-ups): never expire and are used only once included credits run out. Credits cannot be refunded in cash or transferred, unless the law provides otherwise.
The applicable prices are those shown in the app at the time of purchase.
5. Order and payment
Purchases are made in the app. Payment is processed by Stripe: the publisher never has access to card details. Subscriptions are paid in advance and renewed automatically every month, on the same date, until cancelled. Credits are granted as soon as payment is confirmed. An invoice is available in the billing area.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; without settlement, the subscription ends and the account returns to the Discovery offer. The collection is not deleted.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in principle have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance. For a service provided immediately, such as access to credits and paid features, the user expressly requests immediate performance when purchasing and acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
If they withdraw before full performance, they pay the amount corresponding to the service already provided up to their request — in practice, the credits already used. To exercise this right: the contact form, topic “Account, subscription, billing”.
7. Cancellation and account deletion
The user can cancel their subscription at any time from the app's billing area (“Credits and subscription” page). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; access and included credits remain available until then, and purchased credits remain the user's. No period already started is refunded, except where the right of withdrawal is exercised.
The user can delete their account at any time from the app's Profile page. Deletion is permanent: collection, photos and analyses are erased. Remaining credits are lost. Remember to export your records and inventory first.
The publisher may suspend or close an account in case of serious breach of these terms (fraud, abuse of the service, unlawful content), after a formal notice that has remained unanswered, except in an emergency.
8. User content
The user remains the owner of their photos and information. They grant the publisher the right to store, process and transmit them to technical providers, solely to provide the service, and to display them to the people to whom they have themselves given a share link. They undertake not to publish, through a share link, any unlawful content or content infringing the rights of others.
9. Availability
The publisher strives to keep the service available at all times, without guaranteeing that it will be uninterrupted: maintenance, updates or incidents at providers may make it temporarily unavailable. An interrupted analysis is refunded in credits.
10. Liability
Since results are indicative (article 2), the publisher is not liable for purchase, sale, insurance or appraisal decisions taken solely on their basis. Its liability may only be engaged for proven fault, for direct damage, and up to the amounts paid by the user over the last twelve months. These limits do not apply to personal injury, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor where the law prohibits them, in particular towards consumers.
11. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Subscribers are notified by email at least thirty days before a change affecting them takes effect, and may cancel free of charge before that date. A price change applies only from the renewal following that notice.
13. Complaints, mediation and governing law
Any complaint can be sent through the contact form. Failing an agreement, consumers may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: [mediator's name, address, website].
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable settlement, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
